Change your password on https://mitstudie.au.dk/en
When you log on to post.au.dk, your password is encrypted and compared to a list of passwords leaked from various websites like LinkedIn, Dropbox, Adobe, etc. Your password is insecure if it is on this list.
You will not be able to log on to post.au.dk if your password is insecure. You will get a seven-day notice from the first time you log on with an insecure password. You will receive an e-mail each day you log on with an insecure password - until you change your password. If you continue receiving e-mails warning you that your password is insecure, please be aware that you may have changed to another password found on the list.
AU Information Security has gathered some advice on passwords for both Students and Staff here: https://medarbejdere.au.dk/en/informationssikkerhed/password/
Your password is not necessarily insecure in the broad sense of the word. It is in lists with previously compromised passwords publicly available on the internet, which we check.
We use the service on haveibeenpwned.com to test the password. You can also check if your e-mail-address has been in a leak and if a specific password has as well.
You can read more on haveibeenpwned.com
We help protect against phishing by putting a banner at the beginning of e-mails from non-AU-senders. If you receive an e-mail claiming to be a student or AU Staff/department, notice if the e-mail is external.
When you receive attachments or links in e-mails, be aware: Is it something you expect to receive?
